The road before us…. While awaiting the start, I took the first of over 60 pictures I would take during my 50 mile journey (Don’t worry, I didn’t post all of the pictures here!). I remember the downward sloping road looking like a nice way to begin our run, but since we would return on this same path the opposite direction, I knew the climb back up here would be tough.
